I have travelled quite a bit in my lifetime but less so in the past three years – 2022 to visit family in Sicily, UK and and France; and 2023 to deal with the passing of my mother..
While travelling I try to record my experiences of the food, drink, sights and sounds with my camera and sketches and notes in my journal. The occasional story, that I publish here, is derived from such notes and images. My travels are not for the purpose of writing this blog, but my blog is written as a result of my travels. My travels were initiated to visit my family and, in the past, to work
Some of my photos are sold on Alamy, some (art) photos and paintings are placed for sale with an online gallery, and some written work ends up in magazine articles or in books.
For the past three years I have been focused on administrative issues and, this year, on recovery following cardiac surgery
